The popular BIRKENSTOCK Madrid has been given an update. As the name suggests, the Birkenstock Madrid Big Buckle features a large and elegant pin buckle – a delightful eye-catcher on the otherwise understated leather strap. This makes the sandal an exceptionally classic and feminine model. To create a natural look, nubuck leather with an oiled finish has been used and the sole has been lined with nappa leather.

Upper material: Oiled leather
Oiled leather is one of our favourite types of leather. Its oily waxed surface makes for a unique colour effect and develops a beautiful patina. The oily finish of our natural leather products results in colour variation, making each and every pair unique.
Insole: Nappa leather
Nappa leather is a high-quality and very supple smooth leather. Nappa leather is very easy to shape, so it is a very good material for lining the footbed.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.
